TRIBULATION...
This word goes hand in hand with persecution. They are like best friends that do not often leave each others side.
This word in the original language means 'pressure' or 'to press against'. You can easily see that the things 'pressing against' us are the very things that were and continue to 'pursue' us. What 'pressures' us cannot reach us unless it 'pursues' us. Likewise, what 'pursues' us will constantly 'press against' us as it is pursuing. We can easily understand the idea 'pursuing' and 'pressing' if we have ever watched a car race on television, as they rub bumpers chasing one another in circles. Or perhaps you watch football as the defender is pursuing and pressing against the receiver of the ball. Now, of course, if the one pursuing begins to 'press' too much, the referee or governor of the game, will blow his whistle to remind the defender that he is pressing too much at that time. Interesting thought I would say.
Why tribulation? Why pressure?
We know from our experience in this world, that pressure causes movement. Pressure is an energy meant to move all things. The pressure of the heat moves a water to boil. Pressure from a boy causes the movement of a lawn mower. Pressure or energy from a battery causes a device to activate. All of the world is a continuous movement. Scientists have all arrived at the conclusion that all matter is simply energy moving at different vibrations. Nothing remains unmoved. As still as you think you can be, give attention to your body and you will notice movement. As still as you think your couch is sitting on the floor, if you could see into the smallest realm of this life you would notice that the couch is simply energy moving at a vibration causing the couch to exist as we know it. Change the vibration and you will change the object. Yes, that is hard to grasp as I am no scientist, but nonetheless it is the truth of this realm.
So then, as all things are an energy and moving, this energy is a force or a pressure. It is necessary in this realm, in order to keep things moving, Hope you are following. Although it may sound strange to say, in truth, this created realm is one big continuous tribulation. Each movement among this realm, brings a degree of pressure against one another. We are not excluded from this law of movement. We too are simply energy vibrating at a rate that causes us to take the form of humans which we are. We are constantly moving. We are constantly a pressure among this created realm. We are pressure and we are pressured. We share in this realm of tribulation. It is written that we cannot leave this pressure unless we leave this world. I agree.
Remember the idea of gravity pursuing us? Or in like manner, the lowered mind pursuing our Godly or regenerated mind? The pursuing factor is that very 'pressure'. The pressure pursues us. The tribulation persecutes us. Do you see their friendship and connection? Expect pressure to follow you all the days of your life. As you follow the way of God, the pressure of the way among this world will pursue you. As you follow the love of God, hate will pursue you. As you follow patience, impatience will pursue you. As you follow right, wrong will pursue you. As you follow peace, anxiety and restlessness will pursue you. It is a law in this created realm. It is written, 'as I do good, evil is there waiting for me'. Some believe that the 'great tribulation' is a period of time that will occur in the future. Perhaps it is because the translators used capital letters when writing it... I don't know. I am not of that opinion. I am aware that the tribulation I am enduring in this realm is already great. I would imagine that if we took theology out of the equation, you too would agree that the pressure that you are enduring in this created realm is already great and we do not need to wait for a later grand finale period of tribulation to come. Also, it appears that 'we', as the regenerated minds, do not have to endure the 'great tribulation' that they say is to come. We can also agree that if this pressure is necessary in this life, then we would have no reason to be lifted up out of it so that the others in this world can endure while we sit in some heaven high above the earth watching them. I will let them continue in their ways of thinking, for it is not the way I am being led to think and follow.
It is written to consider it joy when we face these trials or proving moments or pressures. It is said that as we endure through them, our faith is increased. This I agree with fully because not only is it written, but I experience it to the utmost. I am watching this truth reveal itself in my very experiences. This makes sense now! The pressure has a purpose right? The purpose of the pressure is to move us further into faith. It is to move us further into the anointment of God (Christ). The pressure is never, I repeat never, random or without purpose. The sparrow never falls to the ground without purpose. The pressure is perfectly orchestrated by the loving hand of God as it pursues and presses against you. The pressure is a tool used to reveal who you truly are within God. The pressure is a tool used to unveil or disclose our true selves.
I am reminded of a crucible. If you are aware of what a crucible is you can agree, that as the gold sits among the fiery heat of the crucible, it is the very force and pressure of the heat that causes the impurities to depart from the gold. The impurities burn up as the pure gold remains. The crucible is a proving and testing ground for the purity of the gold. Without the work of the crucible and the pressuring heat that it provides, the gold remains covered in impurities. This created realm is a crucible to us. It is the place that our impurities are pressed out beyond measure and burned from our inner being. The crucible needs the heat of a flame, just as we need the heat of the pressure in this life. We are no good and we cannot move and progress without it.
Why consider it joy? Because you know the effect it will have on you if you endure it. It is purposed to complete you and lead you into maturity. To conform you into the image of his son. I know it is hard to have joy when this pressure comes against us, but we can if we see the bigger picture and take upon us a higher vue. Speaking of bigger picture, the day after I publish this message, I will be boarding a plan to fly up north to visit family. As I think about the airplane, defying gravity, it reminds me of this message. The airplane must travel at a certain speed which will cause the air below it to bring an increased force of wind. This force of wind, combined with the force of the jet engine will allow the airplane to rise above the force of gravity. It is all pressure and force and energy that keeps us moving and rising. So then, do not run from the pressure, but endure it for a little while until God releases you from it. He will indeed release (forgive) us from it in due time and in his perfect way, even if it means releasing us from the physical realm if necessary.
Have joy my friends when you face these various trials and pressures. We know the result of them, but keep this mind within you as you endure them, as it was in Yeshua, the anointed of God.
Expect pressure. Endure tribulation.
